Was that the labeled name on the plant? I have one and have been trying to find out it’s name. I have mystax and it doesn’t look like this. 🌞

Ditto, I have a mystax and it looks totally different. I bought this same cactus a month or so ago and it came unlabeled. Best I could figure was that it's a young Mammillaria guelzowiana. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@sunlovin & @beatnikcrab I rescued this little mamma from Lowe’s with no label. Just guessing on the label as it matched some others who had the same tags. I’m going to do some more research but so far the closest I have found is a #mammillaria-crinita 🌵 Let me know what you two think.

Hmm, crinita does look very similar, but the radial spines are super stiff, while yours looks like it has fuzzy tufts. You're going to know better, though, bc I'm just looking at a photo while you're seeing it in person! Do check out m. guelzowiana though. Most photos online look a lot more dense and fuzzy, but I found a couple that were dead ringers. I suspect that the difference in appearance is the result of different growing conditions. 🤔 Whatever it is, it's a cutie! 😍

Aw, I love it!! ❤️❤️❤️ It's like an adorable little anemone! 😍 The form looks the same, but the whole needle & tuft situation looks way different. Maybe a hybrid..? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Eventually somebody will find a labeled one for sale and settle this whole debacle! 😆
