Can anyone help me please... Is this part of the stem growing or is this the part of the flower forming?

And you can see the flower buds forming just below the new leaf growth. #camellia

Keep it well watered through the Autumn and you should get a wonderful show of flowers in the spring

@steven2016 yes! Look good foliage wise but the flowers are worth gold!! Patience is key! So, as a gardener, you're going to need bucket loads!! 😜😂

I took one from my mums house and the 2nd year I got one flower. 3rd year I got more ☺

@Diane76 You could be my Saviour. I've tried to take a cutting from my late nans camellia tree but can't get the cutting to take. Can I ask how you did it please?

Just cut what I considered to be a healthy length with some fresh buds on. Bashed the base of the cutting and sat in water for a day. Then placed in moist compost with some miracle gro plant food and crossed my fingers ☺. I'm a believer that if works it is meant to be. Never used rooting powder. (Always take 3 cuttings) 1 is hopefully to take. And left in a sunny position outside.
