They're fairly slow growing, usually 1 or 2 new pads grow on each existing pad every year. I'd expect 18" in 3 or 4 years. Can always keep under control by reducing number of pads. Don't throw them away though, pot them instead, they root really easily!

Great thanks so I've got about ten years until they get large. Perhaps I'll repot one of them for my son and he can see it grow over the years 😃
