Now I've had my #Kiwi in for 3 years and there's still no sign of fruiting. Am I being impatient or am I doing something wrong? I have a feeling it might be a bit windy so I'm thinking of erecting a screen. Can anyone please help?
It's just that I have one also it's in its 2nd year and this year has produced quite a few flowers so i am now waiting to see what happens. I have mine in a pot and it's not in the wind quite sheltered and gets a lot of sun @stvnhwrd don't know if this helps you or not
@stvnhwrd Mine is 3 years old as well and this year is the first time it has flowered, but no sign of any fruit so feel your frustration, but boy don't they grow fast!!!
@stvnhwrd mine is also in it's 3rd year with lots of foliage and no flowers, but I do remember reading on here it's 3/4 years before it flowers then fruits so hang on in there! (But I would grow it some where sheltered, mine is growing up the covered deck)

Hi @stvnhwrd has it flowered at all ?
@jadojado29 No! It's grown loads in the three years though.
Hi do you know if your is self fertile, tree or you will need male and female trees for it to fruit!
@lamaisonbleueoleron yeah it's self fertile.

Frost on the flowers can prevent fruit from forming with plums... maybe the same with kiwi?

But you need male and female plants in order to have fruits, unless you have the autoppliating variety
