Success my #cutting I planted has a #bud very exciting (see earlier posting) #yesterdaytodaytomorrow #brunfelsia #newgrowth
@latebloomer It is good to be home and pottering around the garden There is so much to do and look at thanks to spring.
I arrived home on Saturday, mowed the lawn and deadheaded the bird of paradise on Monday but today is a bit cool after 34degrees in Dubai so had a well deserved rest. @latebloomer
Always exciting to have successful propagation!

Hope this yesterday, today and tomorrow off shoots survive when planted next spring. I don't have much luck with these. #newgrowth #yesterdaytodaytomorrow #brunfelsia
Fingers crossed Sue
I have tried them 3 times already in different spots of the garden but they just don't grow. The first one did have flowers while it was in the pot but once planted it did nothing.I have acidic soil. Any ideas ? @Kathy or anyone
I'll look it up and let you know if I come up with anything @sue1953
I think @drnicko has had some success with these, he might be able to offer some tips Sue 👍🏼
Thanks @richard.spicer.7906 . @sue1953 they will like a very well draining soil and some heat to flower nicely. I must say when I repot mine, they take ages before showing any more top growth. I use a soil less mix of pine bark, diatomaceous earth, peat @ perlite (with a little garden lime). Then fertilise small amounts at nearly every watering. Can I just say your soil does look like its gonna provide enough air or drain freely enough...what have got them in?? Nick
@sue1953 you live in Oz, so why are you having so much trouble!! Hmmm should be good for this to thrive. What do you fertilise with?? 😃
Thanks for the information @drnicko At the moment I have them in a purchased potting mix and have them in mainly full shade. No worries about the heat as I am in Australia NSW but I do have acidic soil so might try a little lime once planted and established. 🌏
@sue1953 shade partial is good idea as I find mine get yellow leaves in full sun. I do find pinching the growing tips, when it's established will encourage branching and more flowers, like bougainvillea 😃😃
Thanks @drnicko🐰🐰
Anytime @sue1953 . I was born in Adelaide, but been in UK for over 30 years! 😎😎
@drnicko In the past I have fertilised with cow manure , mulched them and kept them watered but to no avail. I now use Seasol on my plants and dynamic lifter and things are looking a lot better. 😃
