A week later and they're still alive! I was pretty sure I'd killed them -- they had only one leaf and the seed was still attached to the single root. I thought Oh no, I should have let them spend more time in the nursery pots and make more roots before planting -- but they're hanging in there! I put the logs around them so I don't mistake them for garlic mustard and yank them out by accident.
