How long did it take yours to germinate? Or...to know that they germinated? Lol they’re so small!!

@mauspad These seeds are super-tiny, like dust. And they germinated pretty fast, about a week or two. They grow incredibly slowly. These are 13 months old now and they still haven't filled out into their round adult form. They're only about 10mm wide. I've been treating them like lithops and they've been doing relatively well so far.

@sushiwaitress I got my seeds from mesa garden and was like hoooooly shit haha! Though right after you replied I went to check on them and I think I see my first baby! But I guess it might also be a piece of lint 😂

@mauspad they're so ridiculously tiny. I use my camera's zoom to examine my pots because otherwise I'd definitely be mistaking lint for plants.

I noticed this brownish stick (root?) In my #dinteranthus-wilmotianus #seedlings yesterday when I was watering. Is this a horizontal and exposed taproot? (I just realized I know nothing about dinteranthus roots) The stickroot is thicker than the threads of coconut coir in my potting mix, so Imma hafta guess this is a root that has lost its way. Gonna leave it alone until I know more about what's going on here.

I just looked back through all the photos I've taken of these seedlings and the stickroot is there in all of them. For MONTHS. And I just noticed it YESTERDAY. This is exactly why i love GT. And now I'm glad to know it's a stick, and not a directionally-challenged root.
