@lovestogarden That's what I thought Janice, but I unpotted it and I didn't see any. All leaves were soft. It seems to have been a beheaded cutting. It had tiny wispy roots that I might have inadvertently let die by underwatering. I saved a few leaves to propagate.

That is too bad. The leaves will hopefully root quickly for you.

I finally repotted this guy yesterday and realized I clearly know nothing about echeveria care. I noticed a couple weeks ago that it seemed to be reabsorbing its outer leaves, and it didn't occur to me that it might need WATER. It's so much smaller than when I first got it. I'm gonna give it another day to recover from being repotted and then give it a big drink.
