Got a rooted cutting of this improved variety of #autumnolive. I picked the berries last fall at my friend's farm and made fruit leather. It's a #nitrogen-fixing plant, although it's considered #invasive in my area. It's a useful succession plant and helps enrich disturbed soil so other plants can move in later. 10 Oct 2024 #fruitwoodnursery

They are tangy berries and not at all like olives, thank goodness, so it was like a sweet-and-sour berry flavor. @columbiariver
