He's wrinkly, and I want to water him, but it's best to wait a week after repotting before watering so that the roots and the plant have some time to recover from the shock. Decided to repot my group of six #mesagarden #lithops into individual 3" pots because some of them aren't doing so well, and their individual needs have to be cared for without harming their neighbors. Ya, we’re past the fashionably late stage, 😂

I noticed today that this guy, who did not split this past fall/winter, has puffed back up a little and is less wrinkly than before. I had given a couple of his neighbors on the opposite side of the pot some sprays of water, and since the pot is plastic, I guess the moisture became available to everyone. So I have my first lithops, does the wrinkling mean they're thirsty, or that they're going to shed soon? (How often do they shed?) Thanks!

@dunnoukno From what I've read, the wrinkling does indicate some moisture loss. But it doesn't mean you HAVE to water them. When in doubt, don't water.

@dunnoukno to answer your other question, it does not mean that they're going to shed. This plant just finished shedding old leaves, so he's done until next spring. They shed once a year when they're adults.
