What I learned from this experience: (1) my #succulent-soil has too much #coconut #coir in it and retains too much moisture. (2) the drainage hole in this pot did not let out water fast enough. (3) I should probably #repot everyone in a grittier mix, or else (4) water them only a teaspoon at a time instead of drenching them. Ugh. I'll miss you #lithopsterricolorvioletta

This does not look good, and not just because it's a photo taken at night with a flash. I fear this #lithopsterricolorvioletta is overwatered and dying. This guy is super wrinkly now and leaning over on his side. I fear I may have killed him by trying to spread the leaves apart to see if there is a baby growing. Trying to decide if I should water him. #lithops #livingstones #windowsill #apartmentgarden #succulents

He's getting kinda wrinkly and shrinky and his leaves aren't as wide open as before. He just finished absorbing the last of his old leaves, so I gave him 2 tsp of rainwater today just after I took this photo. Maybe he'll be a little plumper in a day or two. #lithops #lithopsterricolorvioletta #livingstones
