The directions to plant the #morel #mushroomspawn were to dig a shallow hole 1"-2" and break off about an egg sized piece of the sawdust spawn, but don't crumble it. Apparently the mycelium likes to stay together in a chunk. Cover with soil and an inch or two of mulch or wood chips. Maybe in the spring there will be morels. 1 Oct 2023

I did this in about 10 or 11 places around the yard where it stays shady and most most of the time. How To Plant Morel Mushrooms https://www.fieldforest.net/product/787/instruction-sheets

I just discovered that Field and Forest Products (www.fieldforest.net) make #morel #mushroomspawn 😱 They said that this particular product isn't guaranteed to produce, because morels are tricky, but "it's a nice bag of hope to experiment with," which sounded delightful. 30 Sep 2023 #gyo-mushrooms
