@anges it’s got just the right amount of light. Too little: dark green. Too much: yellow stripes and very pale green.

@grantham @lesliecole49 keep swiping left to see all shades. This one is about 12 m high and suckers like this , I chop off and throw into a pot or another garden bed

#happyplant this is to show the leaf colour depending on their position in the garden. Heavy shade. Part sun/shade. Mostly sunny. 2 is my preference.

@cyndi don’t worry my indoor plants are limited. Under lamp, near window or bathroom as it gets plenty of filtered morning sun.

Had to have Gracie put to sleep on Friday as unbeknown to anyone, she had a large inoperable bowel tumour. You will know how I feel right now. Miss her a lot 😿

I know how you feel now. It does get better. I look at her grave and say hi everyday. Chin up love x

@richard.spicer.7906 hi Richard. I have so many cutting of these. Most about a metre tall. Some really dark with no variegation long and lanky coz they don’t get enough light. Others in pots are riddled with mealy bug. Coz I’m lazy. Been too hot to go outside. Much like you trapped by snow. Nice new pic btw

Thanks re pic 😊 - I guess they cope ok though if they still grow, even without the variegation. Shame about the mealy bug too - hate those things!

Give them a good prune if you don’t like them long and lanky.

@tinaaune lots of exotic plants are weeds here unfortunately. Of course the rest outweigh the weeds and are manageable. The happy plant isn’t a weed. Phew 😅

I think my shop sells these for like $200. Which is crazy because you can find them at the hardware store for under $100. Yet people still buy them here..

This is the cutting from tree out front. Left this one get quite big. Chucked it in a pot with top grade potting mix and it’s done well. The little one I photographed for feed the other day will be cut soon so it’s small enough for inside. #dracaena #happyplant

#happyplant #dracena #newshoot I cut this off every year to make shade version. Look at the wood trunk behind. It holds up the rest of it at 2.5 stories. I want to cut it down as it’s a bit sun affected and holy from grasshoppers. Not game to now. Prob donk myself on the head.
