Council cutting and poisoning #queenofthenight #succulent it's so overgrown that's it's s pest. He's standing on already cut stems. They'll poison next I imagine.

@cyndi total fire 🔥 ban here most of the year. Especially now as we have bush fires just nth of me now. It's only got mothers tongue around it. No harm if it get deaded too😄just behind this photo is dry crispy bush ready for a spark.

Do you mean water run off? It rains very little here. Not heard of homes dealing with that but yes the toxic industrial run off is very detrimental for fauna and flora. Looks like they didn't spray anyway. They cut bamboo down too and left it there to go dry and crispy ready for fire kindling. Grr

#pink ready to flower tonight. Their fragrance is so sweet. The cool night air wafts into the house with the yummiest smell.

Note the grass growing back under gums in distance. Had enough rain for this but not drought breaking.

Is that your plant how cool
That’s good to see. Hope that recent events haven’t been too stressful for you. I understand you had some hazard restriction burns in your part of the world (cousin in Brisbane). Thinking about Australia a great deal.
Love beautiful flowers. Saw news that places had what you call a rain dump. A month worth rain in 1/2 hour. Wow hard to imagine . Hope more rain comes soon
@cyndi @moore.794 @dirtgirlworld @valjones-hughes @jyotu thanks you. I did have to take a break from screens for a while. Too depressing. Rain has arrived with a huge sigh of relief. 32 or so fires have been extinguished. Plenty more still raging. Not drought breaking rain either.
@moore.794 terry I think that headline is deceiving. The months rainfall would be equivalent to an afternoon shower for you guys.
But yes. All this new terminology!! Water bomb. 🤷🏼♀️
@cyndi thunder now
The threat of flash flooding landslides are real now.
I felt the amount was deceiving. My friend & i were discussing & i reminded her that was semi desert so maybe only 1/2 inch. Praying more comes soon. The horse paddock was over their knees in mud. Had to move them to new barn. They are very unhappy about being locked in because of mud
