I bought a house in September 2020. A clean pallet for another 15 years as I’ve recently left my tropical garden in Brisbane and moved to Ipswich.

@dinaautore I am blessed. I’ve travelled prob half the world to know Australia really is the lucky country. China was worst to visit 1990. Germany 🧐😮wall had just come down. Vancouver Canada was best place to visit even though I lived in Toronto for 6 months.

@tessafox-veling yes. I’ve more than 2 dozen breeds of birds. Plenty of snakes 🐍. Possums of course. Not much else but birds. From top of trees to ground dwelling eastern coucals (storm birds) 🎶whoop whoop whoop.

This dead gum about 30 m tall has been dead for years. I asked council to clear away dead wood and ground tinder ready for fire season. This is right on my fence line. I’m going to post a series of pics to show just how messy it is.

In Australia we have 3 forms of government. Local, state and federal. For example I live in Brisbane so my local council is Brisbane City Council. They are responsible for all things govt. Budget, infrastructure, maintenance etc. it’s taken 5 years for someone to to say it’s their land. After years the council took responsibility for it. I tried council. No. State. No. Federal. No. Back to state. Def council owns that land.Call back if they say differently. Then months of red tape @columbiariver

Too right Jane. I’ve never posted the whole view from my kitchen window coz it’s so messy. Australian bush is very messy looking. OCD doesn’t like it. @daisy-jane
