@ausgardentags bingo. There were dozens but the screen door opening, scared most away. Dozens of them. Too hot to wait for them to come back. I was determined it would flower this year so I put 20 kg of fertiliser and an ocean of rain water.
Yup, they’re super flighty aren’t they! Yay for the fertiliser + extra water working!
