@sweettemperedsinner What a show of roses. I wonder if this William Baffin has anything to do with Baffin Island. As soon as I saw this name it took me back more than 50 years to my schooldays in Geography when if my memory serves me right he discovered this Island off the Arctic circle.
@angipangi It would be him. It's part of the Canadian Explorer Series of roses, all named after early explorers in Canada.
Thanks @sweettemperedsinner It's amazing how somethings trigger your memory. I'm not aware of ever thinking about that over the past 50 odd years but suddenly the unusual name triggered my memory. As they say 'thanks for the memory'
