Watch this space, four orange buddleia cuttings planted ready for even more late colour next year 😃. As the wind took down some of my vibrant purple one I've also taken cuttings of that one! Hopefully there will be butterflies everywhere in the garden! 😃
@belindah I just cut by a leaf node, dip in organic rooting powder and stick them in! Every late summer when I cut back old growth I stick a few from each shrub in ground that has been loosened and I have managed to tripple my stock! Everything from potentilla, roses, heebes, azaleas, anything! and the easiest of all I think are buddleias! I've even stuck them in really dry ground and they have taken! Im hooked on it! One problem, I'm running out of space for the stock! Try it!
Wow...I bought some rooting powder recently. ..now I will try using it! I have one budleia which I acquired by accident last year. ..the label said it was an aster! But it's been a lovely surprise! ...it's still quite ropey but looking forward to next year's results plus my cutting experiments! Thanks!
