@SylviaDavies looks like it could be Sedum "Purple Emperor". I posted some pics of some in pots on GT, just the other day, so have a look at my plants to get an idea 😀

The azaleas where just coming out,it was worth the visit car park busy but lots of room in the garden,a lot of new beds being made and planted up,Bodnant is always good to visit,,@sylviadavies
