Its a stunnig shrub @SylviaDavies .. the smell is beautiful ... ive had mine for well over 10 years in a large tub

Looks great @SylviaDavies and im sure i seen someone else on here the other day asking about them bugs i can't remember the name but think they are harmless but do eat aphid's 😊

It's a Soldier Beetle, it won't harm your plants.

Red lily beetle ...only worry if you have lilies .. they can decimate them in hours ..not a nice bug to have in the garden .... dont know if they will damage you mock orange though sorry !!!

@tiggrx if she has lilies it will go through them like a plague and ruin any lilies completely ... its a red lily beetle ... ive had them

@MagicsAngel I've had Lily Beetles too and this definitely is not one. Lily Beetles are a much brighter red colour, have a shorter more domed body and a black head. Unfortunately many gardeners condemn any slightly red beetles as Lily Beetles.

Looks too thin to be a lily beetle. I was going to say cardinal beetle.

...but it has a black bum so I agree with @tiggrx
