I rarely notice the #escallonia these days, but it's suddenly come out all over flowers! #transplant #camewiththehouse

Flowers are pretty much gone now but this is what the remains look like. #camewiththehouse

Close up of leaves to help with #plantid @opuntia #camewiththehouse

Maybe #escallonia Tara, if you squeeze the leaves are they sticky?

I picked off a couple of leaves; they're hard and brittle but not noticeably sticky... Each one is about 1 cm or less long. @Opuntia

Looking at the pictures of escallonia it does seem close, and apparently not all varieties are sticky... Although it seems they don't tolerate the wet well, and it's very wet indeed here.

Tentatively ID'd as Escallonia Macrantha since that seems common here and apparently grows wild in the area... Will see if I'm right when I see what colour the flowers come out! Thanks for your help Liam 😊 @Opuntia

Help me identify this plant #plantid It's a scruffy-looking thing at the end of what will hopefully be a nice lawn some day... Wondering if it's worth trying to get it into some kind of order (which we will then have to mow around 😂) #camewiththehouse

Maybe a close-up of leaves and/or flowers please.

Will try to get some more pics when it's bright @Opuntia
The #escallonia is absolutely buzzing with bees and butterflies, and the smell is gorgeous. Glad I moved this and didn't get rid of it. #camewiththehouse #transplant #pollinators
