And finally, inspired by #montydon I did some #pruning of one of the #apple trees. It's got a way to go yet, but the lower section already looks like it can breathe better.

And SO MANY windfall #apples! (There's still tons more on the trees!)

Pick the good ones chop off the bad bits, an make cider. Freeze them while you order the bits u need to make the cider

Gathered up a whole bunch of windfall #apples 😊 They're not in the best condition, but should be fine to make vinegar out of... #harvest #gyo #fruit

How do u do that then T, make vinegar?

I'll chop them up roughly, put them in a fermenter and cover with water. Then put in a glug of apple cider vinegar with the mother to kick things off. Once it's fermented and strained it'll be better than the expensive stuff 😁 @no_akira

How many weeks to ferment? no sugar?

Probably about 6 weeks... I'll check it from time to time and see how it's doing. They're eating apples so I'm hoping they already have enough sugar without adding more. @no_akira

Cleared out some dead branches and an entire dead tree from beside this poor #apple #tree and it's looking a lot fresher now. Turns out there are more of them than we thought too, maybe 4 or 5 under all the brambles...

Just noticed this evening that the apple tree has started blossoming 😄❤🍏

Did a bit of tidying on the #apple trees before work; as you can see in the pic, there are so many #brambles they're more like blackberry-and-apple trees! Plenty more work left to do on them...

Need to figure out how to look after this big old #apple tree soon
The old #apple #tree getting its #blossom on! It takes this very seriously.
Stunning!
