@thehardygardener - Good morning Aly, this is a gorgeous plant! Do you think this variety would grow in southern US (zone 9)? Other types do very well here, but I've never seen this one. Also, I commend your unselfish time devoted to your friend. The world could use more of you! Thanks! 🌴🌺🐾
I think it will, @cschulz02 we are going to do sit down cuttings project next visit, am jist so happy plants have changed his life. Now its how he talks with hope and future garden plans. This helps me too.
@thehardygardener - Thanks for letting me know. How difficult would it be for you to overnight me some cuttings? (When it's ready). I'll pay any expenses & have water waiting. I'm glad this therapeutic work is helping you, too, as well as giving your friend some hope. I know how hope feels when you are feeling desolate about your situation. Again, you are doing a wonderful thing. 🌴🌺🐾
Oh crumbs not shure if we can post live plants air mail, also your customs and excise might object to live plants, I will check this oot. Any #advice ? Unknowns in rules
@thehardygardener - Oh, you're probably right. I didn't think about it crossing borders & all that would entail. Never mind. I'll keep looking over here. Thanks anyway. At least I know it's name, thanks to you. I don't know the rules either, except friends that have brought food from Europe have had a hard time. So please don't worry about it. I'll find it & let you know when I do. :-) 🌴🌺🐾
@thehardygardener - No worries, I'm sure it's here somewhere! With hurricane season on, it's a bit wet for planting, anyway. I'll find it, & when I do, I'll come & leave a pup on your door step. But you have to let me sit in on a "sitting down" therapeutic session. Deal?? 🐲🌴🌺🐾🐬🙋
@thehardygardener - Thanks for your concern, Aly, & I promise to be safe. We got Harvey's tail brush, but no where near the likes of what those poor people in Houston got. They're having a rough go of it. My situation is that when hurricanes get into the partially enclosed Gulf area, they tend to spread out & give everyone a soggy day or 2, depending where they're headed. We don't often get direct hits because of how the land is formed in our area. I usually pack up the cats & go elsewhere.
Not mi garden but a friend, who has copd and we do sit down gardening, it's changed their life #foliage By leafs we all live
Absolutely agree #theraputicgardening ❤️
