Leaf damage like this on epipremnum is normally environmental, too bright light, air too dry, too much wind. They prefer semi shade (especially the variegated forms), sheltered position and like the leaves misting occasionally (when the sun is not on them). Another reason could be water on the leaves when the sun is shining on it, this amplifies the sum and can easily scorch them.
