Poroporo or Southern Kangaroo apple, Solanum aviculare flowers from late May and produce bright orange edible fruits in late August/early September the taste like pineapply sweet bush tomatoes. Do not eat unripre fruits as they are toxic. This one was about a 3m tall shrub, though they can get to 4m. I found it in a neglected community garden in Southwark.
