There are so many stinking plants lol 😂😂 do they really stink 😂😂😂 we know @Nettle s does and that's not even a stinking plant if you get me 😂😂😂😂
@fuschia This one smell a bit unpleasant if you crush the leaf but it doesn't really stink thank god!
I adore plants that smell when you rub the leaves ie lemon balm or curry plant or lavender. My mother in law had a beautiful black arum type lily. It smelt like rotting meat yuk 😂😂😂😂
🙄😷😷😷
Pretty though

There can't be many plants where the most flamboyant part is the seeds!
Wow. Will you harvest them @tiggrx 😊
@fuschia no I won't bother, there's already quite a few young plants scattered around the garden. I think the birds probably eat them thinking that they are berries and sow them around.
I have an iris that has gone to seed like this too 🤓
Adds to the interest 😊😊
Sure does 🤓👍
Great photo, looks amazing! 👌🏼

It's name doesn't do it justice it's lovely 😄
Why is it called a stinking iris? Seems a little unfair for such a pretty flower.
The description in the encyclopaedia is interesting!
@rusty if you crush the leaves they have an unpleasant smell (supposedly like stale beef). But it does seem unfair to give it that name.
@kathy obviously written by someone who really doesn't like the plant!
I've been looking out to see if mine will flower this year after I moved them, but no sign yet
