@tash74 it's well named, the stems are very sticky to the touch.

As denoted by the 'viscaria' bit I guess, originating from viscid meaning sticky. Don't you just love botanical Latin! 🌱📖

We've always called Galium aperine (known as Cleavers or Goose Grass) Sticky Willy! Now you wouldn't want that in the garden with Sticky Nellie would you, never know what you might end up with! 😂😂😂

@tash74 well there's plenty of Sticky Willy in the garden too so no doubt they will meet! Incidentally my neighbour calls Goosegrass 'Gosling Scratch', not a name I've heard anyone else use.

@tiggrx @tash74 @nessas @juliesgarden @tessafox-veling You should be ashamed of such thoughts about #Sticky Willy & Sticky Nellie I studied Latin in my youth and never came across Willy&Nellie not even in the context of amo, amas, amat, amamus, amatis, amant. OMG pred text has gone into meltdown with these Latin words. I wouldn't dream of thinking such things. Not half😂😂
