Ooh what is skirret never heard of it ?

@fuschia it's a vegetable which has for some reason fallen out of popularity in recent times. Apparently the roots are sweet but fiddly to prepare. All I can say so far from experience is that it has been trouble-free to grow.

@kathy I've not tried it yet but I've seen it described as tasting somewhere between a carrot & a parsnip or as like a sweet potato.
