Looks like another clematis is on its way. I'd given up on this as I could not plant it deep enough due to clay soil.

Great! 💜👏🏼 I have to plant a lot of mine quite shallow for the same reason @tonyb they seem to do ok on it though! 👍🏼

@rachelbrooks I have had success growing clematis on a north facing fence before so I figured they would be OK and so far it's worked
