I'm trying to start some of this from seed, then I'll plant them randomly around the yard and pastures

I have found they root well in water, if the stems get real long you can cut them and root them and have more that way, when the monarchs know you have it, they will lay eggs then before you know it, your plant is stripped... I have also grown it from seeds, and the ones that escape in the garden grow as well :)
