#luckynut #cascabelathevetia #thevetiaperuviana relative of nerium oleander, considered poisonus also known as #yellowoleander blooms yellow, orange, or white flowers
I've only seen the yellow before.
@novicegardenlover the seeds I got were labeled yellow, not sure if it was the seed or the soil here that had anything to do with the color difference 😉
Oh Theresa, clearly I just didn't pay attention. This morning I saw one on my way to work. It was growing quite happily on a small slope.

#luckynut #cascabelathevetia #thevetiaperuviana 2 yrs ago I started this plant from a seed, finally flowering!
@charlotte - Look at the beautiful flowers from this! #neverseenanythinglikeit
Gosh. @KariSamuel .
@kaporyash @KariSamuel I thought it was like a walnut that you eat. But this is so pretty.
Right?! @charlotte
@treefrog44 - Did you ever see fruit or nuts on yours?
@KariSamuel yes! It produced tons of flowers and fruit/nuts the 3 rd year after starting it from seed
@KariSamuel @charlotte all parts of this plant are toxic.

Isn't she a beauty🧡😍
Awesome flower 🧡
I didn't know this also went by the name lucky nut tree! My neighbor has one of these that hangs over onto my property. Doesn't feel very lucky! It's a menace. Drops SO MUCH TRASH everywhere! 😩 It DOES look pretty, tho. 😅
Gorgeous flower 💖
@beatnikcrab what is it dropping? 🤔
Flowers, "nuts", leaves. You name it, it drops it. It's just a super messy tree.
I wonder if age, maintenance has anything to do with it 🤔 I trim my hard back at the end of summer, collect seeds as they are ready... I have other trees/ shrubs I would consider as more of a menace! 😂🤣😂
My neighbors' tree is definitely too big to do any of that stuff. I'd say it's about 15 ft tall and at least as wide? It's a big old beast. A few years ago I got up on a ladder and cleared out all the dead branches over my side of the wall. It freshened up the appearance, but didn't help with the litter. 🤷🏻ββοΈ They're fairly popular in public landscapes here bc the colors are nice and vibrant and they don't get terribly big, and the droppings get cleaned up frequently by landscape crews.
