@treefrog what an amazing flower, with the dew drops it's name fits because they sparkle like their sugar coated. Really different. You don't have one of those red ginger plants? My mother's neighbor had one they live outside Fort Lauderdale

I have several ginger plants, started as babies @terrimclaughlin The only one that has bloomed is the shell ginger

I tried to grow one from a cutting but I researched and they have a type of tuber or the same system like the cannas. Wish I would've known that when I was there. I have a pic of her ginger plant on my profile I'll see if I can order one

Ginger grows from rizomes @terrimclaughlin so cuttings don't work :(

@treefrog44 I always forget that word "rhizomes" I should've researched before I left but I don't think she would have understood about giving me a piece it was good timing, beginning of April probably wouldn't of hurt it I've searched a couple websites that sell plants still no luck
