#leonotis-leonurus #wilddagga #leonotisleonurus #lionsear #lionstail #lionspaw This is a plant that gets confused with Leonotis Nepetifola- klip dagga they are called the same names

The ones I have that I got seeds for from you have a different leaf shape, more heart shaped than these. But I thought they were lions tail (?)

@lesliecole49 when you Google both all the lions tail, lions ear names etc come up for both. The ones I gave you are the klip dagga, Leonotis Nepetifola. I will be saving seeds from this one! I can put some aside for you if you'd like βΊοΈ

#leonotis-leonurus #lionsear #anticipation seems like it's been weeks to bloom!!

You know, I think I just found one of these growing in a pot. I grew them last year, cut off the seed heads and let them fall into the pots. I mix old soil with new in some of my larger pots and this one seed decided to grow. I thought it weed, that pot has nothing in it right now so I didn't tend or pull it. Today I realized it was a lions ear! It's not hardy here so it's a fun surprise

@lesliecole49 I grew this narrow leaf variety in Tx, didn't save seeds, when I came to Florida I found some seeds, but... It was a different variety, a wide leaf variety that grows skinny and tall, seeds ended up everywhere, never had to replant it! Lol! Glad to find this one again, I think it's prettier 😉

Mine's probably reseeded from ones I got from you then. (You originally sent them to me) this is a tall thin one also. I'll save these seeds and do some experimenting. I might have some seeds left from the last ones too, it's about time to start looking

@gjones it's amazing what did well through the hurricane that I thought would be destroyed. Never expected that tree to be blown over! Crazy 🤪
