@sieveheadsarah they love heat and won't survive a hard freeze, you would have to overwinter them in a greenhouse 😉

I've looked them up online and can't find seeds or plants for sale here 🤔🤔 I'll keep searching as I'd like to give it a try, I did read that they can take over pretty fast and smother other plants 😱

@sieveheadsarah I don't find them smothering the other plants, my coral vine and passion vine are more aggressive

The great pleasures of living in Florida such a cool variety of plants/flowers!!!!! My ginger plants are about 3 ft. tall and my trumpet plant is also doing good I think they just grow alittle slower here. Thxs again😊💕

@terrimclaughlin I first found out about this plant in Texas! :) Gingers love water, and that sandy loamy acidic soil we have in FL :) Glad to hear they are doing good for you!

Teresa, u always have the most interesting and unique plants! Do u purchase most of them from local nurseries, or do u order a lot thru catalogs??

@bpetty55 this plant I had in Tx, could find it at any nursery, but here in Fl you would think plant nurseries would be all over town.... there are maybe 3 I find things at...I get lucky at plant sales, garage sales.... on Ebay there are growers in Fl that sell only online I buy some seeds and other things :) also seed groups on Facebook... annual swaps I find interesting things to grow :)

Not on purpose, it is so wet here in Florida out side most of the year. I dont have a place indoors that's sunny, and safe from kitties pouncing in windows, knocking stuff down 😢
