#mexicanflamevine #leaves #waterrooting using a lid off a takeout container so just the ends are in water. These root pretty fast!
Thanks for the tip. I have star Jasmine along my back fence thatβs doing nothing. I have one of these at the end and itβs going bonkers. I want to do the whole fence in this. 👍
@philstalder sounds like a great idea! Ive found that star jasmine only blooms in the spring. But its a nice evergreen living fence 😉 I took cuttings to root, and the leaves are taken off the ends instead of discarding them I can double what I'm propagating!
I knew they were easy to propagate but didn't know u could root the leaves. Very cool, Theresa
@txgardener plants are awesome and fun! You never know what will root in water until you try 😉

I hope mine look this good this summer. 😍
@txgardener don't fertilize them! They thrive on neglect! 😉
My favorite kind of care. 😉

Love it.
I have this beauty 2. I've had mine for almost for 15 years or so. Never disappoints. Kinda jealous though, Mine doesn't flower in the winter. It's crazy, if I handle this plant a lot my hands break out in a rash/itching.
@txgardener mine blooms on and off all year! 😁 I wonder what causes that rash??? 🤔 I've never had that happen to me
Ur so lucky. Yeah took me forever to figure out what was causing the rash.
That looks amazing, and such pretty flowers for a senecio too!
@txgardener the key to this plant is no fertilizer, plant it and ignore it! 😂🤣 It loves our sandy soil too!
Thank you 😁 @richard.spicer.7906 I love this plant! It thrives on neglect!
Ahhh urs are in the ground? I have mine in pots. The only time I fiddle with it, is when it starts choking out the plants next to it. Super easy to root. Love it. 😍
@txgardener yes, I find that most things grow better in the ground 😁 even the leaves can be rooted too!
I totally agree with u Theresa 100 percent. When mine trail along the ground they take root. Makes it super easy to share. But I didnt know the leaves can root too. Thanks for the tip 😊
You're welcome 😁 @txgardener
