Help me identify this plant#plantid @ brightcolours @nej . No foliage few blooms bud about the size of a fig . Any ideas ?

Finally found out that this little beauty is called California Sunset Flowering Pomegranate ( Punica granatum 'Madame Legrelle')@ brightcolours @deekay @nej

I would not have picked it by the open flower but the bud looks spot on pomegranate

I would have no idea. I've never seen a 'live' pomegranate in bloom. Good job 😀

@deekay probably didn't help there was little to no foliage when I photographed it . It was driving me insane not knowing what it is!

Also I think it is non fruiting

Oh yeah....I know that feeling of trying to name a plant, it becomes maddening 😤😩🤓😂
