Somebody told me that this will grow long stems with little flowers on @rachelbrooks

That fits the bill - there's so many varieties though (including Salvias) that I haven't a clue which yours is I'm afraid!

Looks similar to how my Centaurea Montana looks at the mo?

Looks like it could be rose campion, if it is will either have bright pink or white flowers and self seeds really easily.
