When I first bought this place I had a few very sickly plants & with this picture I can say I'VE BROUGHT THEM ALL BACK! This is my Oakleaf Hydrangea! When I moved in it was a stump that had a couple limp brittle branches grow out of it, but they always broke when I tried to tie them up. 3 or 4 years ago it started growing a strong trunk. From there it started growing stronger branches that actually grew leaves. Last year it grew to be a pretty healthy bush.
I just never thought I would see blooms as I thought it was in too much shade. This year tho, this year this baby has FIVE BLOOMS! I don't know how long it takes for Oakleaf hydrangea blooms to fully flower but I hope I'm here to see them!

Closeup of the leaves. They're really big, like grape leaves. #plantid #whatisit #helpme #imstumped
