So hard to believe that this those bush was just a sickly stump when I moved in 6 years ago. So much so I thought it was dead & tried to rip it out. Last year it really took off. It was mostly green & only produced a couple, what I thought were, single roses. This year I could cry! There are so many roses with multiple lovely layers. If there's one thing that gardening has taught me is that patience & love go a long way!

Deadheaded my inhereted rose bush today. I was gonna let the roses die on the vine but my friend told me her rose bush loves to be cut down & after 2 years of letting this thing lick it's wounds I figured it was time to be a little mean.
