Found this picture of a bunch of #mo-reese #begonia all showing off their #iridescent leaves. I hope I’m this successful at growing and propagating this cultivar.

This picture was taken at an angle that eliminated the iridescent sheen that this plant’s leaves give off. It’s such a neat effect. I really love this plant. #mo-reese #begonia

This is what my #mo-reese #begonia looks like after being in the terrarium for a month while receiving the proper amount of light and humidity. The #iridescent leaves are really being shown off in this image. The neon green center where the petiole meets the leaf is new. I absolutely love this cultivar! Gorgeous #houseplant

Well thank you! It certainly didn’t look like this a couple months ago! Just shows how much keeping your plants in proper culture really matters.

I can’t wait for it to bloom so that I might have the chance to breed this plant and see what its genetics have in store!

@littlemorningglory absolutely no camera trickery involved! When looking at the plant with light coming from one angle, it appears dark green almost black. However, take a look while the light is coming from a different angle and the leaves appear as blue/purple as you see in the picture. The leaves are iridescent. I’ve only been able to get this level of iridescence by keeping the plant inside of a terrarium with a higher level of humidity, lower light levels and cooler evening temps. Gorgeous!

@littlemorningglory I honestly don’t remember where I came across this beauty. I am currently propagating this plant, though. I’m not sure how many babies I’ll end up with, but feel free to email me ubik.oni@gmail.com and we’ll figure out how to get one to you! That goes for any of my plants and to anyone who wants them. PS, I love trades!
