Last year we found a huge patch of natively occurring #monardadidyma with quite a few ripe seed heads! We harvested a bunch of seeds and planted them in a great spot. I took this picture of that area a couple days ago... look what is starting to grow! I was able to collect and plant 3 other Monarda species last year too... a small white flowered, a large purple, and a smallish pink/lilac species too.
Monarda are great plants. I have a bunch in my garden and every year their blooms attract a bunch of pollinators!
