I was given a little root of this many years ago and didn’t know what it was and I called it Bleugh because I thought it looked like tongues being stuck out 😛 then when I joined here @mrsflowerpot told me what it was. @gjones @KariSamuel if you check out the hashtag you’ll see some of my previous posts showing the flowers.

@gjones, yes last time it flowered a fruit developed but I was going away for 6 weeks and even though I was intrigued I didn’t plant it (I did take the seed from my #clivia touring Spain with me however and now have a very tiny new clivia to show for it) Next time 🤞

#flashbackfriday It was a good year for the paintbrush plant this year. I’ve yet to discover what time of year it should flower, seems to make it up as it goes along!

Ah, many thanks @TheGardenWife, I've spent years calling it Bleugh - after the sticking-out-tongue- look of the leaves! Ashamed to say I never bothered to find out what it's called!
