You're not kidding @hayleyaj It's too dark to do the other canna I bought now but I'm guessing it will be similar. They had about 12 cannas left reduced and I had the best two 😂

Yep!! Been there done that! And for some reason I hate to have to cut the pot away, I'm not sure why cuz they usually are just black nursery pots 🤔 😂💘😍

I've had to do that with so many plants that are established, cutting off the pot. But to be fair, it's late in the season so if you hadn't had too, I'd be concerned it wouldn't survive. Will you overwinter or plant out? 😊

Overwinter now. Too late to be putting it in the ground. I'm digging them all up this year as I'll have the greenhouse to store them in 😍 @hayleyaj

I overwintered mine in the greenhouse last year Julie, this year in leaving them in, mulching etc. And my first year leaving my Musa in the ground too. ☺️

I'm leaving my musa basjoos, musa sikkimensis and musa Helen's Hybrid in but wrapped. The cannas are coming out after 2 winters to see if I can divide and to get them going quicker for next year. Some of mine are only just starting to flower that were left in. It took a long while for the ground to warm up this year. I'm about a month behind despite mulching heavily @hayleyaj

Mine were flowering in the greenhouse over winter! This year has been a test for plants 😂

It was a local independent garden centre and I nabbed the only one @angiecrazycatlady Yes go looking for them, really doesn't matter about the foliage now. Yes @ShelleySnyder it's a little bit pot bound. Poor thing, it desperately needed rescuing
