I have flowers on two of my #colocasia-fontanesii 😮😍
Wow! Never had one bloom!💘😍
Nor had I @ShelleySnyder I'll put the other one up as its a different colour
How fantastic 👋😍
Very odd @pelly caught it out of the corner of my eye and thought it was the beginnings of a #tigridia-pavonia All sorts of weird and wonderful things popping up this year 😍
It shows that all your backbreaking work is paying off Julie, I'm so pleased for you. Btw I have a flower on one of my Cannas at last 👍👍
Thats fab, You're doing better than me as the parent plant hasn't had any flowers yet... Got a few I divided that have sulked and not thrown up any flowers... yet @pelly
I've seen so many flowering on here that I was beginning to think I'd done something wrong, thanks for telling me that, it's cheered me up, even though I'm sorry to hear yours aren't doing brilliantly 😄😄
Some can be really late september flowerers... They are frustrating plants sometimes @pelly
😂😂 so I’m learning.

Aww that’s kind of you. Thanks hun 😘
We will get you going with a tropical bed 😉 @lexijane
Thank you. I think more of a tropical corner because I don’t trust myself with them being in the ground 😬😂 @vec

#colocasia-esculenta-fontanesii from the back. Stunning black stems and veins 🖤
Great photo! I was just looking at the back of one of mine and thought it looked so cool! I can see the whole back side of one of mine from the kitchen window, needless to say I see it alot!😂💘😍

Wow! Everything looks do good!💘😍
This look is on my wish list @vec I absolutely love it 😍 found the black version of the elephant 🐘 ear👂 and so tempted until I saw the price. Think birthday present 🎁 lol
They've had some in wyevales recently for £15. There's a £5 off anything this weekend if you've had the email and you have the loyalty card @Cazx
I don't have the loyalty card 💳 @vec BUT I do have a local Wyevales near me not far from Bridgnorth. Have a free weekend, can feel a trip coming on lol thanks so much 👍🏼
Sign up for a card @cazx They seem to be giving away free £5's at least once a month
Ooh 😲 I can spend that with 1 sec. fab, I'll sign up 🖋
And link the card to an email. I could do with a few cards and emails 😂😂😂 @Cazx
Gorgeous 😍👍

Mini pond in the #black-stemmed-colocasia 😂
Crazy for taro!💘😍
Love it 👌🏼💚💧
My first year with taros @ShelleySnyder Love them 💚🖤💚
Thank you @lexijane 😘
Ooooh! You need more then!😂 I can't have mine in the pond cuz the fish mess with them to much so all mine are terrestrial, works just fine!💘😍
Hard to track down in gc's round here @ShelleySnyder I've had to order them online from specialist nurseries or find them on Facebook selling pages from tropical lovers who have excess stock
@vec that's too bad! 💘😍

I've got another variety coming @jadojado29 😂
@Cazx Are you on fb ? If you are, I'll find you the link to the plant selling page. Lots of different things being added and I know the person I bought these from has got more ready in a couple of weeks
Oh I'm so jealous! I want some of these! Where did you find these Julie? 😍
@vec ooh very nice!! 😍 I miss mine, used to grow a plain green one but it died! 🙄
@hayleyaj https://www.facebook.com/groups/774334412585441/
Ooh thanks Julie 😍👏👏
More Julie 😱 @vec for heavens sake have you moved your fence out into the field by any chance 😂😘
Julie can you invite me to the group via Facebook please as I can't access it 😔
Oh no @Leroybe I've got some esculenta coming too which is plain green and I'm trying to grow some eddoes/taro. They're in the airing cupboard in bags of perlite. Fingers crossed they start shooting soon. Be a bargain if they do as I picked the tubers up from Morrisons veg section for 42p each 😀
These are even slower than normal to get going #colocasia-esculenta-fontanesii 5 showing life, 5 still having a sulk. Ive had these a couple of years now. Can’t be doing with over pampering them and starting them indoors in bags in the airing cupboard. They’ll come out when they’re ready. They are just potted up and left in the heated greenhouse over winter
