I bought these for the pollinators but I had no idea that the foliage was so delicately gorgeous! I am in love! Cataloguing six of these 28-06-19
Yes I have some 👍🏻 a real pollinator magnet 🧲😉
@telswirld they were six for about £11 so an absolute bargain and I think this might be one of my new favourite foliage’s, just in time for #foliagefriday
One of my favourite things in spring is when new achillea foliage emerges after winter 😍😍 They look a bit ferny and very delicate. But prefer this variety to the gold one with stiff silvery foliage. This one feels 'soft' 😊
@ublaszko I had no idea! I bought these online because there weren’t any locally that I could find and so I got drawn in my the pretty flower pictures! I had no idea the foliage was this pretty and I am delighted that this is a happy accident. This is called ‘Cerise Queen’ and I ordered it online from Crocus and I was super impressed with how they arrived! Perfect condition. I’ll also look out for the spring foliage - thanks
I have one called Colorado and it has cerise one in the mix. It's quite an odd one because it has different colours on one plants and seems to be different colour each year 👍
Oh that is strange 🤔 but I imagine beautiful! @ublaszko
It looks very natural 😊
Not a new bloom but a prolific one #yarrow #achillea #cerise-queen #pink #plantsforpollinators
Super Yarrow! I love it. Yours looks great 😊😊💕💕
@midnightgardener thank you! I bought six of the ‘cerise queen’. These two have come out dark pink, the ones in the middle of the bed are light pink and the ones at the other end have come out so pale pink they are closer to white. Was trying to work out if the soil or drainage or whatever affects colour like a hydrangea but couldn’t find anything. Might just be a fluke 🤷♀️
@victorial My soil varies here but my Hotlips are in free draining soil so is the Amistad. In fact where the latter is, is shocking soil but things do grow thankfully 😊😊
