Nigella

#PlantID please? This is a little self-seeded plant and the ‘leaves’ feel very familiar, but for the life of me I can’t name it! I am opting for a no weed process until I know what the plant is because I’ve had some great self-seeded beauties so don’t want to pull things up by accident!

@anges the corner where it is growing has been full of self-seeded gems. I had a poppy that had 128 flowers, scarlet pimpernel and now love in a mist. Until May it was all turf so it’s done it all by itself! And this has literally popped up in the last five days so it’s obviously a late bloomer! Excited for it to open and see it in full - will try to collect seeds too if I can! Nothing better than a freebie either 😂

Sounds great! Once they've flowered, they'll just dry out and it's like opening little parcels of seeds - ready to sprinkle wherever you want them 😁 my kind of gardening! 💙

@victorial hee! I managed to get two, maybe three from a packet of mixed seeds..lovely little plants!! Mine flowered a couple of weeks ago now though. I'm definitely trying to collect as many seeds as possible from everything! !! Be happy to send some! Xx

@ktcooki276 ah that sounds great and yes please. Perhaps we can do a swap as I’ve collected all sorts. Bear in mind it’s my first ever try at seed collecting so they may be worth naught but you are welcome to share!

@ktcooki276 my early flowering stuff has so I have: #Lupin #Poppy (various) #Persicaria-Bistorta #Salvia-Armistad #Salvia-Sylvestris #Masterwort #Foxgloves (pink Dalmatian and white Dalmatian) and #Toadflax. I’m in Gloucestershire and yes to newbie kindreds!
