Loving my self seeded #poppies for #poppy day! They’ve grown up through the #anemones and every morning there have been between 5 & 10 new flowers. Only problem is they only last a few hours and then the petals have dropped off. #red #papaver #selfsown #red #flower

My ‘first’ (second) #selfsown poppy in the garden, looking very happy and bright in the sunshine. Yesterday, I came down in the morning to find the very first one had opened but I didn’t have time to take a look or photograph. By the time I got home last night, it had gone over and lost it’s petals so I didn’t even see it up close! Counting this beaut as my first instead. Also, this photo has no filter but somehow the picture looks fake / unnatural 🤔 #camerashy #poppy #red #shortlived
