This is amazing! Beautiful flowers. The leaves look identical to a Puya Berteroniana that I have. They're like razor wire! The flowers are very different thought.

The blooms are as big as my hand. people have called it many names it was given to me by a dear old friend (who was in his 90s) He has Bromeliads all through his garden this one was a favourite of mine I’m sticking with a Bromeliad atm

Very prickly but I love the flowers an old friend gave it to me from his garden along with a different large Bromeliad so I thought it was but couldn’t find which one hence why I went the way of Aloe thank you for your help at least I know it’s a Bromeliad now 👍🏼
