Could be not enough water or too much. Check for aphids as well. I'm growing bearded irises for the first time this year and found a whole lot of greenflies on them this evening.
iris fungal leaf spot. use neem oil to treat. cut back & remove & destroy all bad leaves. when new leaves appear treat weekly for 6weeks with neem oil. spray around plant too spores over winter on de bree

Im guessing these are quite young plants?🤔 don't worry, they are focusing on building a strong rhizome for next year. They are not dead.

Thank you all🙏this gardening lark is confusing!! These are very young. First season. No sign of aphids. Maybe too much water - will ease off a bit.
