Help me identify this plant - this lily has sat inert all year until flowering now

It’s a Dietes iridioides also know as a butterfly iris. I have one also they are beautiful and the flower stems continue to produce flowers for a long time

No worries glad I could help. Just a tip don’t cut the flower stalk off even if it looks dead they like to rebloom on the old stalks

Thanks again - helpful as there are no tasks or care tips about it and I prob would otherwise dead head it - though it’s a shame I can’t cut any for display inside
